Has anyone signed up for an account with takeaway.ie yet? You sign up, select a takeaway, add your items to your basket and then click it’s ordered. They even send you back a confirmation e’mail to let you know that the take-away has indeed recieved your order. Before I recieved this e’mail I was a bit dubious that so many restaurantes had set up online ordering, but it seems like it’s all working pretty smoothly! Finally, no more fights over who has to try and remember the order and phone up. We ordered some starters, a main and some sushi from Yami Thai & Sushi. They even let us know how long it was going to take in the confirmation e’mail, which seemed pretty accurate, but I couldn’t tell if they did it on a case by case basis. Still though, it’s a free service. They still haven’t set up the site so that you can pay for your take-away online, but I’m sure that’s only a matter of time.
