My modern day heros
This post was inspired by @NiallHarbison’s recent blog on the brilliant people he models himself on. He says that one of the important proponents of success in life is having great role models. The kind of people who’s characteristics you try to replicate. There are a couple of great people whom I admire. I guess that I would like to model myself on those defining characteristics that I see in each of them. I am not sure how well I emulate these characteristics, but they have helped mold my determinism for pro-active personal development. So, these are my heroes, all living today…
Naom Chomsky for his unwavering search for and discussion of the truth
Richard Dawkins for his passion and ability to make logical argument
Steve Jobs for his determination and presence
Albert Bandura for his pioneering work that challenged his predecessors. His work in social cognitive psychology gave me faith in modern psychology
Derren Brown for his honest understanding of the human psyche
Andreas Helgstrand for his control and ability to communicate
Andres Serrano for technical skill and artistic ability that overcomes controversy
Isa Chandra Moskowitz because of her idealism and vegan cupcakes. She has inspired me to write a cookbook one day
